Charlie Sheen asked not to smoke onstage in Toronto
Charlie Sheen has been warned by the Ontario government that he’s not allowed to smoke onstage during his Toronto shows, as he has done at his previous tour stops in the U.S.
Margaret Best of the Ministry of Health said that if he smokes, “He’ll be breaking the law.”
Torontonians will recall a similar warning given to Sean Penn at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. The actor was scorned by Canadian officials for smoking a cigarette during a press conference held in a Toronto hotel ballroom. No charges were ever laid. Penn, ironically, was also one of the first celebrities to reach out to Sheen during his extended public outburst.
Thursday is the first Canadian stop on Sheen’s My Violent Torpedo of Truth Tour, and Sheen will be added to a list of prolific names to grace Massey Hall’s stage, including Winston Churchill, Neil Young, the Dalai Lama, Gordon Lightfoot and Luciano Pavarotti.Charlie Sheen, you kinda suckk
